Our Beliefs
The foundational truths we hold dear
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for
training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
β 2 Timothy 3:16β17 (ESV)
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word
of God. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice. We hold that the
sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are God's complete and sufficient revelation to
humanity. We use the English Standard Version (ESV) as our primary translation.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, co-equal and
co-eternal. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, sovereign over all of creation, and
worthy of all worship, honor, and glory.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became
man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary,
lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice on the cross for the
sins of the world. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is seated at the right
hand of the Father, where He intercedes for His people. He will return in glory to judge the
living and the dead.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity,
co-equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.
He regenerates, indwells, seals, and sanctifies all who believe in Christ. He empowers believers
for service, gifts them for ministry, and produces spiritual fruit in their lives.
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in
Christ alone. No human effort or merit can earn salvation. All have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God, and the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are
forgiven, justified, and adopted into the family of God.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have
placed their faith in Him. The local church is a gathering of believers for worship, fellowship,
teaching, and service. The mission of the Church is to glorify God, make disciples of all
nations, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in a hurting world.
We believe that every Christian is called to share the Gospel and
make disciples. Jesus commanded His followers to go into all the world and proclaim the good
news. At Servant Fellowship, we carry out this mission through service, sacrifice, and
proclamation β bringing hope, healing, and relief to those in need, all for the glory of God.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost.
Those who have trusted in Christ will be raised to eternal life in the presence of God. Those
who have rejected Christ will face eternal separation from God. We look forward to the return of
Jesus Christ and the establishment of His eternal kingdom.
